PURPOSE:To improve the brazability and brazing strength of a composite blank by successively cladding the outside of a Ti material with an intermediate layer of a Pd material and a corrosion resistant material. CONSTITUTION:The outside of a core material 1 of Ti or a Ti alloy is successively clad with an intermediate layer 7 of Pd or a Pd alloy and a corrosion resistant material 2 having superior brazability such as an Ni-Cr alloy to form a composite material 3' for spectacle frames. This material 3' is rolled, and the resulting plates 4' are brazed with a brazing filler metal 5 such as Ag solder. By the brazing, a solid soln. 8 consisting of the metal of the core material 1 and the metal of the layer 7 is formed. When the material 3' is used, satisfactory brazing giving high brazing strength is carried out, and stripping is not caused after the brazing. |
