PURPOSE:To improve safety in stopping or starting at a climbing slope, by constituting a prevention against running back, which is released free at a time when a gear change lever is situated in a back position, in a way of installing it in a power transmission part after clutching. CONSTITUTION:When a drive shaft 1 rotates in a forward direction by dint of engine power, a prevention against running back 3 engages a serrated gear 2 at a point other than a back gear position of a change lever 5, thus any running back motion is prevented from occuring. When the change lever 5 comes to a back position, engagement between a reverse preventing device 3 and the serrated gear 2 is set free whereby backing up comes possible there. A release mechanism 6 is used at emergency and released at a neutral position. With this constitution, safety in starting or stopping in time of climbing a slope is well improvable.
