PURPOSE:To form a sirocco fan in a thin compact size, by forming an impeller from a rotary plate, hollowly curved in a truncated cone shape, and blade pieces, provided in the peripheral edge of said rotary plate, and arranging a motor in a hollowed space of the rotary plate, in the case of the sirocco fan. CONSTITUTION:A suction port 8 is provided in an upper case 6, while a motor 11, mounting an impeller 10 of a sirocco fan 9, is set in a bottom case 7, and the impeller 10, with one side closed, comprises a rotary plate 20, hollowly curved in a truncated cone shape over a range from the vicinity of the peripheral to the center, and multiple blade pieces 21 provided in the peripheral edge in a protruded surface side of the rotary plate 20. While the motor 11 is arranged in a hollowed space of the rotary plate 20 of the impeller 10. In consequence, the sirocco fan can be formed in a thin compact size as compared with a conventional sirocco fan by decreasing a vortex phenomenon or the like of air so as to enable a flow of air to be increased without causing the worsening of a characteristic of air flow quantity to air pressure.
