PURPOSE:To enable containers to be stevedored in a wide container hold of a wide container ship for which no container crane can work effectively due to shortage of reach, by providing, on both sides near the board in the container hold, cell guide frame structures extended over the height of the hold and movable widthwise. CONSTITUTION:One or more rows of containers are accomodated on the sides near the board in a container hold, with each row extended over the height of the hold. Rolling members 13 are provided under them while independent container guide frame structures 15-17 movable to the right and left sides are also provided. A guide rail 8 is provuded on the bottom of the container hold so as to guide the cell guide frame structures 15-17 along the width of the hull, and to drive them by a hydraulic cylinder mechanism 10. A cell guide 18 adjacent to the movable cell guide frame structures 15-17 is adapted to be moved in parallel through link mechanisms 22. In such a manner, containers are enabled to be stevedored even in a wide container ship for which presently available container cranes can not work effectively due to their shortage of reach.
