PURPOSE:To prevent an image formation body from being damaged by attaching a cover that protects the surface of the image formation body which is exposed when a unit incorporating the image formation body is extracted from the recording device body to the unit. CONSTITUTION:The recording device has the cover 7 which is fitted to the unit 1 so as to protect the surface of the image formation body 2 which is exposed when the unit 1 is taken out of the recording device body. The unit 1 provided with the cover 7 is engaged with guide rails 6 and 6' from the unit insertion port of the recording device body and pressed in to mount the unit 1 in the recording device body. Consequently, the unit is inserted into the recording device body while the cover is attached, so the surface of the image formation body is prevented from being damaged owing to the contacting of some body in the process of insertion. |
