PURPOSE:To take a measurement in a proper wait time as to every body to be measured such as an IC and an LSI and as to every measurement item by providing a function for detecting the stability of a measurement waveform in the circuit constitution of a measuring device. CONSTITUTION:A high-speed, low-precision AD converter samples an analog signal input at a high speed and stores the sampled value in a memory successively. The contents of the memory are sent to a controller to decide whether the analog signal input is stable or not. When the variation of the waveform of the analog signal input is smaller than variation width inputted previously to the controller, the controller reads that as a stable state and sends a conversion command to a low-speed, high-precision AD converter. Then, data converted into a digital signal by the low-speed, high-precision AD converter is held by a latch circuit and led out.
