<p>The combustion process in a furnace is treated by the injection of metallic oxides in order to reduce pollution, an aqueous suspension of the composition being used in the treatment. Immediately upstream of the injector (2) is a unit (24, 25) for preparing or conserving a suspension of the solid ingredients in water, and connected to it by a volumetric metering device (27). At the preparation point is a collector unit (3) for the previously-metered solids and water to the desired formula. This delivers solids and water, either together or in succession, at high speed to the preparation or conservation unit, and follows them with a flushing medium in the same direction, collecting any solids deposited along the connecting pipe.</p> |
