A profile forming a distance component (2) has two flange parts (10, 11) extending centrally towards a window aperture. A flange (8) acts as an edge support for the window pane, and is provided with fixtures (9) for a glazing fillet (3). One flange part (10) locates against the already fitted window pane, and is straight. The other (11) runs from the body part at a distance from the first and is bent inwards and then L-shaped outwards. This provides for partly a surface at right-angles to the panes, and partly a surface (14) which is parallel to the pane being formed. This latter surface is located at a distance from (and outside) the root section of the second flange part. The space (15) delimited by the pane and the outwardly turned sides of the bent flange part receives a sealing medium after the pane has been fitted. The medium can expand without leaking. |
