PURPOSE:To enable high-precision machining of a large-sized work by guiding a tape electrode along both faces of a center bar, and by machining the work from one of the sides into an intended configuration while the electrode is held as straight. CONSTITUTION:An electrode unit mounting plate 1b is installed on the body of a self-running truck 1 perpendicularly thereto. Tape electrode is supplied from a tape supply drum 2 and passes the point between a brake roller 3 and pinch roller 5, to be sent for a space between a guide roller 7 and one of the faces of a center bar 6. Here the tape electrode is put in close contact with this center bar 6 to be stretched over between this and another guide roller 16 along the center bar 6, and after being turned back by a turnback roller 15, it is stretched over between a guide roller 16' and a guide roller 7' along the rear face of the center bar 6 to be wound on a tape collection drum 8 upon passing a point between a capstan 4 and the abovementioned pinch roller 5. Meantime, the machining liquid is pumped from a tank to a machining liquid supply nozzle 9 to jet out toward the gap between the object to be processed 13 and the tape electrode. |
