PURPOSE:To make the maintenance of the good quality of picture possible, by calculating the width of applied pulse on the basis of the data of thermal head temperature detection means, load operational means, peripheral data contribution rate operational means and thermal history storage means. CONSTITUTION:An applied pulse width operator 19 sets up the applied pulse basic width of line to be printed on the basis of substrate temperature data 22 of thermal head 17 by the substrate temperature detection circuit 21 and the current load data 29 caused due to the black ratio of printing line by the black ratio counter 26. Then, the correction amounts of printing pulse to be added per each unit heating element are memorized with the storage heat data 18 of each unit heating element by the interval monitor counter 13 and the thermal history storage memory 24. The pulse width to be applied is obtained by the pulse width data 25 of before one line and each unit heating element of thermal head 17 is controlled by application of currency by the obtained applied pulse width via the control circuit 31. |
