PURPOSE:To reduce stress given to a developer and prolong the life of the developer by supporting a magnet roller rotatably and eccentrically with the center of a nonmagnetic sleeve and thus constituting a developing roller. CONSTITUTION:The magnet roller 21 is arranged rotatably and eccentrically with the nonmagnetic sleeve 22, the closest parts of the both are arranged as development operating parts D opposite a charge holding member 1, and a developer stirring and supplying device 9 is arranged at the distant position of the both. The developer moves clockwise along the nonmagnetic sleeve 22 and a blade 13 is arranged closely to the surface of the nonmagnetic sleeve 22 extends from the supplying device 9 to the development operating part D to specify the thickness of the developer to specific uniform value. Consequently, the stress acting on the developer is prevented from increasing, and the life of the developer is therefore prolonged. |
