The invention relates to the construction of apparatuses using energy. The balancing device which is the subject of the invention is of the type comprising chambers 1 for the accummulation of masses 2 arranged along a same generatrix of the rotating member to be balanced and for putting into communication via paths 3, by means of a feeder 4, with a means 5 for metering the balancing masses, and is characterised in that it comprises a mechanism 20 for the distribution of the balancing masses 2 between the paths 3, which mechanism is mounted on the said rotating member so as to exclude the penetration of the working fluid into the paths 3 and the chambers 1. The invention can be used with maximum efficiency, especially for the balancing, during operation, of the auxiliary equipment of steam generators (blowing fans, smoke extractors, blowers, etc.). <IMAGE>
