PURPOSE:To give superior spectral absorption characteristics, to prevent color stains, and to improve image storage stability by forming at least one photosensitive constituent layer contg. a specified cyan coupler on a support. CONSTITUTION:At least one photographic constituent layer formed on a support contains a cyan coupler represented by the formula in which R1, R2 are each an aliphatic, aromatic, or heterocyclic group; X is halogen; (n) is 1-4; and Z1, Z2 are each H or a releasable group upon the coupling reaction with the oxidized product of an aromatic primary amine type color developing agent. As a result, the obtained silver halide color photosensitive material is not only enhanced in sensitivity, color density, and color reproducibility, but also improved in light, heat, and humidity resistances, by addition of such a cyan coupler, and it can form a color image freed of occurrence of stains. |
