PURPOSE:To improve resistance to wear and weather, increase the thickness of a coating film and retain good refractive index and coating appearance, by adding a silicic acid mixture to a two-pack urethane paint. CONSTITUTION:0.1-10% (based on the quantity of resin) silicic acid mixture is added to a two-pack urethane paint. The silicic acid mixture is commercially available. When the quantity of the silicic acid mixture is less than 0.1%, a satisfactory effect can not be obtd., while when the quantity exceeds 10wt%, undesirable phenomenons such as fogging are caused. The surface of metal can be thick-coated with the topcoating agent, whereby the strength and wear resistance of a coating film can be improved and at the same time, a topcoat having improved thermal dimensional stability and weather resistance including resistance to light, water and heat can be obtd.
