PURPOSE:To obtain paint having excellent long period weather resistance, by using a chlorinated polyolefin having a specified chlorine content as the main film-forming element. CONSTITUTION:A paint compsn. having internal plasticity contains a chlorinated polyolefin having a chlorine content of 50-60wt% as the main film-forming element. When the chlorine content exceeds 60wt%, the resulting coating film is hard and brittle and hence, a large quantity of a plasticizer must be used together with the polymer, while when the chlorine content is less than 50wt%, the resulting coating film becomes tacky and as a result, a problem is caused that dust adheres to the film. A small quantity of a plasticizer or a resin such as a petroleum resin, an alkyd resin, a phenolic resin, an acrylic resin, a vinyl chloride resin, an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer or a bitumen compatible with the chlorinated polyolefin can be blended with the paint compsn.
