The subject of the invention is a device for lubricating and cooling the liners and pistons equipping piston pumps for fluids and its method of implementation. The liner 17 of the piston 18 is pierced with holes at 180 DEG and the said holes are arranged in grooves 21; the liner 17 comprises, in its external length, grooves 21 with regular spacing; it is in these grooves 21 that the holes are arranged. The invention applies especially to pumps for fluid for cleaning out waste-water drain pipes. <IMAGE>
