AUTOMATIC CUTTING DEVICE FOR REMAINING PART OF DIE CASTING

PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of a product and to improve quality by moving downward dies while a stationary side die plate is held in press contact with a movable side die plate by an elastic member and cutting a spool and pouring basin from the product by means of core pins in a die opening stage. CONSTITUTION:The molten metal injected from a nozzle 28 in a die clamping state is filled in a product die part 26 and a pouring basin 34. The movable part including a movable side mounting plate 20 is driven in a direction A and while a stationary side die plate 12 is held in press contact with a movable side die plate 14 by a coil spring 36, the dies are moved downward in a die opening stage. A product 27 is detached from a spool part 33 and a pouring basin part 35 by the tips of the 1st and 2nd core pins 54, 56 during said movement and further the driving part is moved in the direction A to detach a runner part 31, the spool part 33 and the basin 35 from a stripper plate 10. The product 27 is detached from the die plate 14 by an ejector pin 44. The detaching operation is thus automated and the reduction in the production cost and the improvement in quality are made possible.
