PURPOSE:To transmit a light signal efficiently between optical fibers which rotate relatively by arranging a condenser lens with positive refracting power between a couple of optical fibers which rotate relatively, and providing a photodetection-side fiber tip at the lens focus. CONSTITUTION:The couple of optical fibers 1 and 2 to be connected mutually are incorporated in external cylinders 4 and 5 which rotate relatively around an axis Z-Z of rotation, the condenser lens 6 having positive refracting power is fixed at the side of external cylinder 5 facing the internal cylinder 4, and the tip of the optical fiber 2 is arranged at the focus F of the lens 6. Therefore, even when the optical fiber 1 rotates around the axis Z of rotation, light projected from the optical fiber 1 is all made incident on the end part of the optical fiber 2. Consequently, the light signal is transmitted efficiently between the optical fiber which rotates relatively. When a multi-focus composite condenser lens is used as the lens 6, plural optical fibers are connected. |
