PURPOSE:To improve the joining state between a shadow mask main unit and a support frame by providing the proper number of protruded molding sections at the proper place of the support frame and joining them with a main unit side wall section. CONSTITUTION:Several protrusions 8 are provided around a support frame 7 and joined with a main unit side wall section 9 by spot welding. For example, for the shape of the protrusions, an insertion section 10 is inclined so as to easily insert the main unit. Besides, a joint has a vertical straight section 11 with proper length so as to go along the main unit. Furthermore, both the protrusions and the support frame are reinforced by a connection section 12. As a result, when the main unit is inserted in the support frame, insertion is facilitated and deformation can be prevented. |
