The invention relates to a device for the individual separation of seeds. Mounted rotatably in a housing is a cellular wheel which has funnel-shaped bores for receiving the seeds. The cellular wheel is guided through below an airstream, which removes the excess seeds from the funnel. Arranged on the circumference of the cellular wheel is a ring which terminates flushly with the cellular wheel and which projects approximately half-way into the funnels. In the region of the funnels, this ring is provided with bores which are smaller than the smallest grain. Because air is blown in, a dynamic pressure is built up in the funnel and suction is generated in the bore. In each case one grain will thereby come in front of the bore and be retained there.
