PURPOSE:To inform the consumed state of a developer to the user by counting the number of times of development by a developing device from the start of a toner replenish means, and when the counted value reaches a previously fixed value, driving an alarm display part for toner feeding. CONSTITUTION:An original placed on an original platen 1 is formed on a photosensitive body 3 as an electrostatic latent image. A toner image developed by the developing device 5 is transferred to paper by a transfer unit 6. A developer consisting of toner and carrier having magneticity is mixed and stored in a developing tank 52 of the device 5. When a toner density detecting sensor 56 detects a level lower than a fixed density, a microcomputer 25 drives the toner replenish device 56. During the input of a signal indicating the lack of toner from the sensor 55 to the computer 25, the number of copied sheets is stored in a memory device 26. When the device 26 counts up the prescribed number of sheets, a toner feeding alarm display lamp 27 is driven because of the lack of the toner in the toner replenish tank 51. Thus, the toner replenishing can be informed. |
