PURPOSE:To infallibly detect numerous items and, at the same time, miniaturize the device used for this purpose, by forming an inserting hole in a cassette housing and inserting a detecting means which detects a specific display section through the hole. CONSTITUTION:A fitting member 34 to which a detecting means 35 for detecting a specific display section is fitted is inserted into an inserting hole formed in the housing 42 of a cassette 3. Then a driving shaft 29 is inserted into a supporting pipe 70 and engaged with driving pawls 73 and 75. A supporting member 12 is displaced leftward in advance against the force of springs 16 and 17 by operating a knob 24. Under this condition, the cassette 3 is brought into contact with a receiving section 22 and the hand is left from a handle 24. Then a supporting shaft 14 enters a supporting pipe 65. When the cassette 3 is mounted in such a way, a fitting member 37 is in the housing through the inserting hole and the detecting means 35 faces a desired area of the specific display section of a sheet. The means 35 emits light to the desired area and receives lights reflected from a reflecting plate.
