<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate an easy input operation of codes by displaying the characters having in common the digit value of the code corresponding to a character and the residual digit value of each character within a picture plane when the digit value of the code is particlly supplied. CONSTITUTION:The data on the 1st digit of a section of the character code to be supplied is supplied through a keyboard 201, and the numerical value of this data is stored at the store position of a buffer 204 designated by an address designation circuit 205. The supplied 2nd digit numerical value is stored at the store position of the buffer 204. The circuit 205 moves up the next store position by a step. The points 1-94 shown in a section of two digits are selected out of a table stored in a memory 206, and the contents of these points are given to a buffer 207. Thus the characters at points 1-94 and the numerical value of two digits at the points corresponding to these characters are displayed. An operator looks at the screen and selects a desired character to be supplied out of a list. Then the operator supplies successively the numerical value of two digits at the corresponding points.</p> |
