The invention relates to a flower vase, especially for receiving cut flowers presented as gifts during hospital visits and the like, with a container serving to receive the water and/or soil. The invention is characterised in that the container is a cone consisting of plastic film which, in the filled state, comes to rest against the inner walls of an unfolded folded carton, preferably of cylindrical or prismatic cross-section.
