CONSTITUTION:An image forming light is received by a sensor 37 at a position conjugating with a sensitive drum 9 on which an original image by an exposure lamp 3 is formed and an area except the original is detected and a CPU sets an erasing area except the original. In accordance with an designated coordinates through a keyboard, the CPU calculates a setting erasing area synthesizes it with a setting erasing area except the original and stores the synthesized erasing area in an incorporated RAM. Based on this memory content, through an eraser 24, an electric charge of the sensitive body 9 is erased. In these manners, an area having no meaning in a copy is not automatically developed but the erroneans operation of an operator is prevented from giving an influence to a copying machine having an editing function.
