PURPOSE:To provide easily an accurate bending force to a rolling roll by providing a rotating body to bring it into contact with the end part of a rolling roll of multiroll mill and pressing the roll by raising the body vertically. CONSTITUTION:A rotating body 8 is installed so as to bring it into contact with the contacting surface 1a consisting of slant surfaces formed at both ends of a work roll 1 of multiroll mill, and the body 8 is supported by a supporting bed 13 which is connected to a door 12 attached rotatably to a housing. The door 12 is raised by a hydraulic cylinder attached to the outside of housing, and the body 8 is vertically raised through the bed 13. In this way, a bending force is provided to the contacting surface 1a of roll 1 by the conical contacting surface 8a of rotating body 8. At the same time, a thrust, acting on the roll 1 through both contacting surfaces 1a, 8a, is received by the bed 13 through the body 8. |
