This invention relates to a cover panel for motor vehicles, which consists essentially of two elements, namely an outer lens panel and an inner non-transparent cover, both provided with corresponding grooves in such a way that these elements have the visual appearance of the rear lights when they are connected to one another, between, or next to, which rear lights such a cover panel is arranged so that, together with the cover panel, a continuous aesthetic appearance is produced over the entire rear part of the vehicle.
