PURPOSE:To provide the titled gene, capable of producing urogastrone, a polypeptide hormone, having secretion action on acid in the stomach, cell growth promoting action, useful for remedying ulcers and traumata. CONSTITUTION:A human urogastrone gene of the direct manifestation type having nucleotide arrangement shown by the formula. This gene can add a translation termination signal (TAA or TGA or TAG) by integrating it into a proper manifestation vector, and can make 5' and 3' ends of gene have restricted enzyme recognition arrangement. pSM9001 made from pIN-I-A1 and pMC735 is preferably used as a vector to manifest the gene. E.coliHB101, and E. coli294 may be cited as examples of Escherichia coil of host cell to carry out transformation using a recombined plasmid integrated with the gene. |
