PURPOSE:To obtain an embossed film having a three-dimensional uneven pattern, a high tear resistance, and excellent strength by a method in which a heat- shrinkable film is directed to a heated embossing roll and embossed and then thermally shrunk. CONSTITUTION:A thermoplastic resin stretched film 1 having a heat shrinkability preferably is directed to an embossing device consisting of an embossing roll 2 heated to a temperature between temperatures 40 deg.C lower than and 20 deg.C higher than the melting point of the thermoplastic resin and a press roller 3. The film 1 is then embossed and at the same time or continuously is thermally shrinked by a cooling roll 4. The film 1 is then passed through the cooling roll 4 to obtain the desired embossed film 5. USE:The film is suitable for cloth sheets, walling papers, sanitary materials, etc. |
