Method of manufacturing a vehicle wheel with substantially lateral wheel center and profiled rim from a disk shaped metal sheet, in which a blank (2) is formed in the shape of a disk with high edge (2b) by a first deep stamping operation, then the edge (2b) and the bottom (2a) of this dish are shaped so as to form respectively the rim and the center of the wheel characterized in that said deep stamping operation is carried out with reduction of this thickness (e1 ) of the edge (2b) with respect to the thickness (e2 ) of the initial disk by controlling the force (14) of retention of the blank to be stamped, and in that, in the second stamping operation, said blank is shaped so as to determine the final diameter (D) of the wheel center at the junction thereof with said edge (2b) and so as to place the whole of the material reserved for this wheel center externally of the plane of this diameter, before shaping said edge (2b) of the dish so as to confer thereon the profile of the rim and to shape the wheel center.</p> |
