PURPOSE:To absorb the energy of waves through movement of the air, by a method wherein air bags on both sides are communicated with each other through an air tube having a resistance chamber at the middle to form a wave spending device, and the wave spending device is positioned under the surface so that the direction of the air tube coincides with the advancing direction of waves. CONSTITUTION:Fluid chambers 1 and 2, being an air bag, are located under the surface, and the two chambers are intercommunicated through an air tube 5 having a resistance chamber 6. When the waves advance, a dirrerence in the height of wave causes varying of a water pressure exerted on the fluid chambers 1 and 2 on both sides, the left chamber 1 is contracted into a shape 3, and the right fluid chamber 2 to form it in a shape 4. In this case, the air is moved through the air tube 5 from the left to the right to loss energy within the resistance chamber 6. This causes incurring of loss of wave energy by passage of waves through the resistance chamber, resulting in the occurrence of a wave spending phenomenon. |
