PURPOSE:To easily detect abnormal feeding of a recording paper, by detecting a relative deviation of rotating angle between a ratchet fixed to a roller rotated in conjunction with movement of a paper and a ratchet driven to rotate by a paper-feeding motor. CONSTITUTION:When the paper is normally fed, a ratchet 9 is pressed against a ratchet 10 by the force of a leaf spring of a contact switch 7, and the switch 7 continues remaining in an OFF state. When abnormal feeding of the paper occurs, a difference is generated between the rotating speed of the ratchet 9 and that of the ratchet 10, and the switch 7 is turned ON, whereby the abnormal feeding of the paper can be detected. |
