PURPOSE:To eliminate inconveniences included in connecting a spacing motor and an encoder directly to each other, by providing a position-detecting encoder separately from the spacing motor for driving a carriage. CONSTITUTION:A space sensor 29 constituted of a photo-encoder is provided separately from the spacing motor 20, and is fitted to a shaft 24a of a guide pulley 24 for fitting a spacing wire 25 for transmitting a driving force of the motor 20 to the carriage 10. In order to separate the space sensor 29 for detecting the position of the carriage 10 from the spacing motor 20, the sensor may be mounted on the carriage 10. |
