<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate fuel injection quantity control in an equipment which is provided with both a burner device burning exhaust particulates and a fuel injection valve supplying the burner device with fuel, by mounting a valve by which the pressure of fuel fed to a fuel injection valve may be maintained to be a specified pressures. CONSTITUTION:A fuel passage 24 which is communicated with a pump chamber 23 is formed in the overflow outlet part 21a of a fuel injection pump 21 and communicated with both a fuel supply passage 20 connected to a fuel injection valve and a return passage 25 returning excess fuel into a fuel tank. A passage 28 which communicates the lower end part of the fuel passage 24 with the lower stream of the overflow orifice of the return passage 25 is also formed in said part 21a. A ball valve body 30a which closes the passage 28 by the force of a spring 29 is disposed in the passage 28, thereby making up a pressure regulating valve 30. The valve 30 opens the passage 28 if the pressure of fuel in the fuel passage 24 exceeds the specified value, and permits fuel to be flown into return passage 25 so as to maintain the pressure in the fuel passage 24 to be specified value.</p> |
