<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an oxygen enriching agent effective at low temp. by using a compd. which is chemically inactive with air, having larger solubility for oxygen at 0--60 deg.C than for nitrogen and having large solubility for air. CONSTITUTION:Compds. such as perfluoro satd. hydrocarbons, chlorofluoro satd. hydrocarbons, bromofluoro satd. hydrocarbons, perfluoro cyclic ethers, perfluoro- N-unsubstituted or substituted azaethers, have <=-50 deg.C m.p., 0-70 deg.C b.p.; >=25 (air)ml/100ml solubility for air at 25 deg.C and >=40(air)ml/100ml solubility for air at -57 deg.C. There is large difference between the solubility of this compd. for oxygen and nitrogen at low temp. and the absolute solubility for air is also large. Therefore, the compds. are useful for oxygen enriching agent for air.</p> |
