PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording head improved in contact condition of the surface thereof and a printing medium such as a thermal recording paper and capable of printing high-quality images at high efficiency, wherein a packed layer of a material having a high electrical resistance is provided on a heating resistor between electrodes. CONSTITUTION:The packed layer 8 of a material having a high electrical resistance is provided on the heating resistor 3, leaving a minute gap 9 betwen the layer 8 and each of the electrodes 4. Further, a protective layer 5 is provided so as to cover the entire body of the electrodes 4, the packed layer 8 and the gaps 9. EFFECT:Since the surface of a printing part of the head can be shaped in a flat or projected form, dots with favorable printing quality can be printed. |
