An identity card, especially a businessman's card, is characterised by the feature that a head-and-shoulders picture of the card holder appears on the viewed surface of the card and forms an integral part of that surface. The head-and-shoulders picture of the businessman is displayed against a background which is itself patterned by photographic means rather than being essentially plain and self-coloured as in the traditional businessman's card. The card may be produced using a pair of complementary masks (Figures 5 and 6). The masks are pivotally mounted in a holder (1) which can be attached to a camera. One or other of the masks can be selected by means of knobs (10) or (11) which move in slots (12). <IMAGE> |
