PURPOSE:To obtain a bag breaking machine which is so constituted as to take out contents such as garbage from a bag by breaking efficiently only the bag and further to take out selectively the contents. CONSTITUTION:A bag 1 contg. garbage is charged through a feed hopper 22 and a feed port 3 into a drum 4. As the drum 4 rotates, the bag 1 tries to move along the inside circumferential edges of blade plates 14-16, but the movement thereof is prevented by weights 19 and eventually the pawls 6 on the inside circumferential edge of the blade plates break the bag 1. The bag 1 prevented from moving rotationally and moves toward a discharge port 24 and during this time the bag is successively ruptured by the pawls 6, by which the bag 1 and the garbage are dropped into clearances 25 between the blade plates. The small pieces in the garbage are separated by a screen 7 and the balance are transferred by the plates 14-16 and are discharged by a discharge chute 8 through the port 24. |
