PURPOSE:To enable repeated bottom sampling within a short time, by mounting a main body sliding along the sea bottom, a rotor with a bottom sampling case, the lid means of the bottom sampling case, a bottom sampling cylinder capable of sucking and extruding sample mud, a revolving means of these elements and a control apparatus. CONSTITUTION:The title apparatus is equipped with a main body 10 sliding along the sea bottom, a rotor 12 having bottom sampling cases 13 mounted thereto and a means of a lid for sealing the opening with a one-way valve of each case 13. In addition, around an elastically supported fulcrum, a bottom sampling cylinder 19, which is coaxial to one of the cases 13 formed of a cylinrical case, a rubber check valve and a receiving bag and can suck and extrude sample mud, and a control apparatus continuously operated in cooperation with a revolving means of the above-mentioned elements are mounted. By this mechanism, repeated bottom sampling can be performed within a short time in continnuous operation and sample mud can be sampled from the definite depth in the surface layer of the sea bottom without flowing out the same. |
