The system uses a number of conduit elements which may be attached to a wall surface. The conduit elements contain a series of parallel conductors which are coupled to the respective conductors of a following conduit element. The conductors are coupled to an electrical supply network and to required socket and switch points via junction boxes attached to the elements. Each box receives the element and secures it via interfitting locking elements with contact blades inside the box contacting the respective conductors.
