PURPOSE:To vulcanize the whole periphery of the titled belt with an accurate cog pitch by a method wherein an endless unvulcanized belt is vulcanized as it is sent successively between a flat mold and a cogged long mold and the unvulcanized belt is mated with the cogs using a cog mating jig. CONSTITUTION:Belt components 1-6 are laminated on the outer periphery of the cylindrical drums 11, 12 to form an endless unvulcanized belt 10, then, this belt is laid over a pair of pulleys 21, 21. The mold 25 having a flat surface on the outside of the belt 10 is pushed to the mold 26 having a cogged surface on the bottom side and longer than the mold 25 to be vulcanized. The belt 10 is fed successively and vulcanized and when the final unvulcanized zone 1 has become smaller than the mold 25 width the vulcanized zone of the belt 10 is compressed to and mated with the cogs by the cog mating jigs 20, 20 near both ends of the mold 25 and then the final zone vulcanization is performed by pressure welding of both molds 25, 26. |
