<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the copying troubles due to the improper size even if the confirmation for the copying paper size is missed, by assigning the paper feeding cassette mounting position in the higher priority order which is detected by a preferential- cassette detecting means when a standard state is formed. CONSTITUTION:An A3-paper feeding cassette is mounted into the upper stage of a cassette mounting part and A4-paper feeding cassette is mounted into the lower stage, and A4 size is set into the first priority order by selection switches (preferential- cassette setting switch) SW1 and SW3, and A3 size is set into the second priority order by selection switches SW2 and SW4. The signals of these switches are supplied into the gates 2-6 of a preferential-cassette detecting means S, and the cassette signal in the second priority order is prohibited at the gate 2, and the gates 4 and 6 are set at L and H respectively. The output of the gate 6 is introduced into a gate 10 through the selection for the upper stage, and copying is performed with the A3-paper feeding cassette. When two minutes elapsed through ready release, the gate 10 and a flip-flop 12 are switched by the upper/lower switching permission signal supplied from the terminal 1b of a control circuit 1, and the paper feeding cassette in the lower stage in which A4 paper sheets in the first priority order are accommodated is automatically assigned.</p> |
