DRILL BIT AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF A deep hole drill bit comprises a solid rod or shank with a lubricant bore throughout its length and a longitudinal swarf clearance flute of at least 180.degree., a cutting tip attached to one end of the rod or shank with an aperture connected to the lubricant bore for outflow of lubricant and a holder attached to the other end of the rod or shank. The invention also includes methods of producing such a deep hole drill bit.
