PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity and to increase the progress of development by forming at least one layer contg. silver halide particles having >=1.5mum average diameter with respect to the projection area and a compound releasing a fogging agent or the like during development in accordance with the amount of developed silver on a base. CONSTITUTION:Photographic layers including at least one silver halide emulsion layer are formed on a base. The silver halide emulsion layer contains silver halide particles, and silver halide particles accounting for 40% of the total projection area of all the silver halide particles in the emulsion layer have >=1.5mum average diameter with respect to the projection area. One of the photographic layers contains at least one kind of compound releasing a fogging agent, a precursor thereof, a development accelerator or a precursor thereof during development in accordance with the amount of developed silver.
