PURPOSE:To generate a high voltage without using a boosting transformer by connecting plural capacitors in parallel to charge the capacitors, and at the time of discharge, switching said connection in series to emit a flash lamp. CONSTITUTION:A rectifier is connected to a power supply 3 to generate DC. To connect plural capacitors 71-7n in parallel, switches 81-8n are turned to the opposite contacts against the shown ones. The positive pole of the rectifier 3 is connected to anodes of diodes 61-6n to charge the capacitors 71-7n. When alteration switches 81-8n are turned to the shown status by an unshown operation button, the capacitors 71-7n are connected in series and the voltage on both the ends becomes n times the voltage of one capacitor, so that the flash lamp 5 is emitted. Even if the boosting transformer is omitted and the size of the device is reduced, a high voltage is generated. |
