PURPOSE:To obtain a clear still picture even if it is an object to be photographed at high speed and to make it possible to release the shutter function in accordance with necessity by adjusting the exposure time automatically by controlling the shutter mechanism with a slit based on the detection signal of an incident-light amount detection means. CONSTITUTION:A comparator 43 compares a control voltage signal V from an incident- light amount detection means with reference voltage signals E1 and E2, and a signal H or a signal L is transmitted by V<E1 or V>E2. A switch 50 makes a motor 14 rotate regularly or reversely accordng to the signal from the comparator 43 and the signal from a rotational direction specification switch 51. in other words, when the signal from the comparator 43 is H, the switch 50 makes the motor 14 rotate regularly or revrsely by turning on or turning off of the switch 51. The output signal of the comparator 43 changes to L, the motor 14 executes only the regular rotation without no relation with the switch 51. A shutter plate 20 becomes the slit with wide width or with narrow width. The number of revolutions of the shutter plate 20 is detected by a rotational sensor 62, and is supplied to a rotational controller 63. The rotational controller 63 makes the number of revolutions of the shutter plate and the phase synchronize to the image signal.
