PURPOSE:To produce a prism having high separating ability easily by adhering other parallel glass plates to polarized light separating films formed on both the surface of a parallel glass plate respectively. CONSTITUTION:The polarized light separating films 12, 13 are formed on both the surfaces of the parallel glass plate 11. In addition, other parallel glass plates 14, 15 are adhered to the separating films 12, 13. Light P out of incident light from an INPUT-1 goes straight on and is projected to an OUTPUT-1, but light S is reflected by the separating film 12, reflected on a contact surface of the glass plate 14 and air and reflected by the separating film 12 again, and then projected to an OUTPUT-2. As to incident light from an INPUT-1 similarly, polarized light P goes straight on and is projected to an OUTPUT-2 as shown by P' and polarized light S is reflected three times as shown by S' and reflected as shown by P'. Thus, the prism having the high separating ability of the polarized light P, S is easily obtained. |
