PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration of quality of a picture on a photo film and of lamp service life by controlling the lighting source so as to be extinguished or darkened when a timer is activated for a set time. CONSTITUTION:When a search key 20 is set while a film frame address to be retreived is inputted to a retrieval control circuit 27, the retrieval is started. Mark detecting signals 18c', 18b', 18a' of a batch file page are inputted to a counter 30 one after another from a mark detector 11 attended with the start. When each number of the batch file gas inputted by entry and the contents of a back mark counter section 30c, a file mark counter section 30b and a page mark counter section 30a are coincident with each other, a comparator circuit 27' outputs a stop signal from the terminal (a) of the comparator circuit 27', its stop signal is given to a film feeding control circuit 28, which stops the motor and film feeding.
