PURPOSE:To enable a material to be smoothly absorbed and released, by automatically moving a piston rod member up and down with the use of such a simple operation that the discharge of gas drom a vent hole is lasted or ceased. CONSTITUTION:Under operation of a vacuum pump 19 an air within a cylinder 4 is discharged from a vent hole 2 in the cylinder 4 through a valve 15' so that the cylinder 4 is evacuated, and a piston rod member 10' lowers while compressing spring 9, which is therefore made into contact with a rubber pad 5. Further, upper and lower chambers C, B within the cylinder space are communicated together through an orifice 7. Since no air-pressure differential is appreciated between both chambers B, C, the rubber pad 5 is gently abutted against a material 17 to be treated, and therefore, absorbs this material 17 to be treated with no damage. After the thus absorbed material 17 is transferred to a predetermined position, when the discharge of air from the vent hole 2 is stopped, the piston 10 ascends due to the return of the spring 9, the rubber pad 5 is separated from the material 17 to be treated. |
