PURPOSE:To improve cutting efficiency by reducing friction energy at the time of cutting by providing a fluid flow path on the contact face of a cutting tool to a material to be cut and a device for supplying a predetermined fluid to the face of the material to be cut through the fluid flow path at the time of cutting. CONSTITUTION:A cutting edge chip 1 is fixed to a cutting end of a shoe 2 by a stop bolt 6. A flow path 3 is provided to be connected to the chip 1 and the shoe 2 and a concentrated flow path 4 is provided to be connected to the flow path 3 so that the flow path becomes narrow and pressure is increased, and the open end of the concentrated flow path 4 is provided on a cutting end face 5 of the chip 1. The fluid stored in a tank 14 is pressurized and supplied to the flow path 3 and the concentrated flow path 4 by a pump 15, and jet from the cutting end face 5 which is the open end. At this time, the fluid are used nitrogen and others as gas and water and others as liquid. Then, energy given from friction between the tool and the material to be cut is reduced at the time of cutting and cut processing can be made efficiently. |
